Leaving No One Behind: Asia Regional CSO Dialogue Series on Immunisation Milestones for 2025

The Gavi CSO Constituency has been convening a series of consultations with Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) across Asia to better understand the region’s immunisation landscape. These dialogues have highlighted the critical contributions of CSOs in advocacy, capacity building, and service delivery, while also addressing persistent challenges in reaching zero-dose children. By fostering national and regional networks, the consultations aim to strengthen collaboration, promote cross-learning, and generate sustainable solutions to ensure no child is left behind. Insights from these discussions continue to inform and enrich Gavi’s 6.0 strategy, with a strong focus on equity and reaching the most vulnerable communities.

The main themes of this call are as follows:

  1. Networked Advocacy to Advance Global Health Equity
  2. The Experience of the Fund Manager Mechanism
  3. Integrating immunisation in Primary Healthcare
  4. Community Experiences of Routine Immunisation

Key Points

As 2025 draws to a close, this Asia CSO Dialogue Series offers an opportunity to reflect on the year’s milestones—such as how advocacy can advance global health equity. The discussion will also spotlight strategic priorities for the Asia region, such as integrating immunisation into primary health care, examining the role of the fund manager mechanism in strengthening immunisation systems and learning from the community experience of routine immunisation.

Learnings from this dialogue will contribute to shaping CSO perspectives and recommendations for Gavi’s 6.0 strategy.

The upcoming Asia Regional CSO Convening on 30 October 2025 will center on the following themes:

  1. The year in review – networked advocacy to advance global health equity.
  2. Integration of immunisation and primary health care – lessons from Asian communities.
  3. The fund manager mechanism – its role in mobilising resources and advancing immunisation in the region.
  4. Community Champions – the experience of community health workers in implementing routine immunisation in communities.

Through these discussions, the convening will deepen CSO understanding of regional and global immunisation efforts, strengthen peer learning, and amplify the collective voice of CSOs in advancing immunisation and reaching zero-dose children across Asia.
